Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE)

The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s mission is to provide programs that inspire young people from low-income communities to stay in school, to recognize business opportunities and to plan for successful futures. By teaching the entrepreneurial mindset, NFTE provides young people with tools and attitudes to overcome adversity and address future personal, economic, community and global challenges.

NFTE has worked with more than 700,000 young people from low-income communities in programs across the U.S. and around the world. As of now, NFTE operates our award-winning curriculum in 23 locations in 10 countries and continues to expand – sharing and spreading the transformative power of entrepreneurship. NFTE NY Metro works with over 35 schools across the NY/Westchester/CT region and also operates three different summer programs equipping students with the entrepreneurial mindset in shorter bursts of time.

NFTE trains and certifies teachers in our curriculum, provides all curricular materials, and offers ongoing support and PD. Over the course of a year or a semester, every NFTE student develops a business plan and pitch based on an original business idea – learning career skills and building confidence along the way. NFTE students receive support from mentors as they develop and/or launch their businesses, and have access to other benefits such as competition prizes, internships, and college scholarships.
