High school-aged students are welcome to participate in the unique programs offered at New-York Historical society.
Our Tech Scholars Programs offers girls behind-the-scenes access to our Center for Women’s History where they will meet with curators and graduate fellows as well as conduct research on the historical figures and events that continue to impact young women today. Participants will then share their scholarship through dynamic digital projects by learning basic html and CSS code to create retro websites to be hosted by New-York Historical Society. The Scholars Program for Teens invites teens to develop their research skills through exploring the museum’s exhibit and library. Our Student Historian Internship Program offers teens real world working experience in a museum where they can conduct exciting research and share their scholarship through creative projects; meet with professional staff to learn about careers in the museum, library, and history fields; work collaboratively with fellow students to develop their public speaking and leadership skills; and engage in hands-on work to deepen their understanding of American history and art.
